This procedure is done frequently in our office. It is often necessary in women over 35 with abnormal bleeding or women past menopause with any bleeding. It is usually well tolerated in any woman who has had a vaginal delivery. If you have not had children, it can be more difficult. Dr. Rudman has been very successful at doing in-office endometrial (uterine) biopsies even in women who have had unsuccessful biopsies in other offices.
